Secondary Education BISE Bahawalpur

ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE
The Administrative structure of the Board
consists of two sectors under which different branches are functioning.
There are 264 sanctioned posts out of which 240 have been filled up and
24 posts are lying vacant.
Responsibilities
i) Holding of Examination :
The basic and most important
responsibility of the Board is to hold timely and crystal clear
exams and in time declaration of results. With the grace of God, the
Board has been successful in fulfilling this responsibility.
Formerly, The board had been holding exams for
Metric/Intermediate/Oriental languages. But since 1993, the
Education Department of the Govt. of the Punjab (Controlling
authority ) has laid down the responsibility on the Board for taking
the exams of OT/CT/PTC and Art and Craft. The Board has been holding
all the said exams satisfactorily and in a peaceful environment and
their results are also declared well in time.
ii) Method of Exams:
For the information and facility of the
candidates, the approved schedule for holding the different exams
and bank admission forms are posted to the heads of the educational
institutions affiliated to the Board well in time. Newspapers and
radio also advertise it. The admission forms for regular candidates
are received personally by the representatives of the heads of the
institutions from the Board. The admission forms for the private
candidates are made available by the Board through the H.B.L
situated in Bahawalpur Division.
The received admission forms are
registered . They are classified as Regular, Private, sex, group,
district, Tehsil wise. The exam cell, according to the scheme of
studies and Board rules and Regulations allot the Roll Numbers and
exams centers in accordance with the demand/nearest to the residence
of the candidates after strict checking. The roll number slips are
issued about 10-15 days before the start of the exams. Formerly, all
this process was completed manually. But since 2003, it is done
through computers which have made it not only rapid and graceful but
it has also become more fool proof and crystal clear.
In view of the facility and demand of the candidates, the exams
centers are established nearest to their residences. With the
recommendation of heads of educational institutions/EDO’s/DEO’s the
teachers with good reputation are appointed as supervisory staff in
the exam centers Teams consisting of Board Members and Mobile squads
are arranged to check the performance of the supervisory staff and
to make the process of exams more crystal clear. With the help of
local administration, Police is also appointed at every exam center.
This step has almost eliminated the practice of unfair means and
exams are held in peaceful environment
